Pre-Construction Meeting
It’s finally time to break ground on your new home! After we’ve been through the entire pre-construction phase, the design and layout have been finalized, and your lot has been chosen, the next step is actually building your home. When we get to this step, we will have one more meeting to ensure that all the small details have been addressed and all the important decisions up to this point have been made. We are strong believers in the “measure twice, cut once” philosophy and through our experience, this meeting is always an exciting one.
We will also introduce you to the Mt Sterling team that will be involved in the construction of your new home. That way you’ll see familiar faces when you visit the home site during construction and will feel comfortable with the professionals working on your home. We will review our milestone schedule with the entire team and ensure that everybody is on the same page before we start hammering.
Once the work has began on your home, the project manager will hold weekly job site meetings to ensure that everything is on schedule and running smoothly. At this point, it’s time to say “let’s get to work!”

- We always get signed Additional Work Authorizations
- Whether the cost of materials goes up or down, you’ll know about it through our detailed variance reports
Sterling Standards of Payment
- You’ll pay only what’s been authorized, Signed PO + Signed VPO = Invoice
- A Signed quality standards checklist means you’ll get the quality home you paid for
- Insurances and licensing is on file so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
- Our Semi-monthly payment policy keeps things on the jobsite moving smoothly
Completion
It’s finally a reality! Your home is complete and it’s time to start moving in the boxes. This is the point where we get to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labor – watching you begin your new life in your beautiful brand new home. On this big day, a member of the Mt Sterling Custom Homes team will be there to guide you through every important aspect of your new home and present you with your HomeProfile packet. We’ll help you become well acquainted with the details of your new appliances, filters, HVAC system, plumbing, water systems, gas and electrical systems, and the list goes on. Basically we’ll train you on how to use and maintain every important system and feature in your home so that you will be comfortable and confident living there from day one. After all, you’re home now!
